Myth 6 – Post All The Time

This traffic myth is that you must post fresh content often to your blog.
I think this myth came about with the arrival of blogs. People realised that Google loved blogs, and assumed it was because of the fresh content being posted at the top of blog homepages. Unfortunately, people then confused cause and effect and thought that Google required fresh content, which meant that bloggers were on a never-ending treadmill of creating fresh content all the time!

In this movie, I show you how I only posted nine times in nine weeks, and that includes a few times where I went weeks without posting anything!
And what was the outcome? A consistent stream of traffic which totalled 30,896 visits during the time I made just nine blog posts.
