Video Summary

This traffic myth is that you must post fresh content often to your blog.

I think this myth came about with the arrival of blogs. People realised that Google loved blogs, and assumed it was because of the fresh content being posted at the top of blog homepages. Unfortunately, people then confused cause and effect and thought that Google required fresh content, which meant that bloggers were on a never-ending treadmill of creating fresh content all the time!

It’s A Myth!

In this movie, I show you how I only posted nine times in nine weeks, and that includes a few times where I went weeks without posting anything!

And what was the outcome? A consistent stream of traffic which totalled 30,896 visits during the time I made just nine blog posts.

What do you think

Do you regret starting a blog because you feel you have to blog all the time? Has this video changed your mind?

Video Summary

Google is NOT the only source of free traffic. Yes, Google is important, but in this video I show you how over a quarter of free visits to our niche technology blog came from sources other than Google. In fact, there were over FOUR HUNDRED sites who sent almost 13,000 free visitors in the first five months!

Don’t Be Myopic!

If you focus only on Google, you’ll miss out on a world of free traffic. It’s important to recognise that and tackle both Google AND other sources of free traffic. The major benefit is that other sources of traffic can be tapped quickly, without having to wait weeks to rise to the top of Google rankings and other sources will give your site a more rounded profile. If anything happens to your Google rankings, it’s good to have other sources of traffic!

Sneak Peek!

Near the end of the video there’s a sneak peek at our upcoming “Fast Traffic Blueprint” where I’ll reveal every tip and trick I used to capture the thousands of free visitors at the niche UK-specific technology blog. I think you’re going to love it!

What do you think

Do you ignore every traffic source except Google? Has this video changed your mind?

Have you ever heard a “guru” saying to target just a few keywords and get top search engine rankings for them? I sure have… all the time. In fact, some marketers make a mint from selling you keyword research software to “uncover” the “best” keywords.

Video Summary

Have you ever heard a “guru” saying to target just a few keywords and get top search engine rankings for them? I sure have… all the time. In fact, some marketers make a mint from selling you keyword research software to “uncover” the “best” keywords.

Don’t Do It!

If you target specific keywords, your writing will be un-natural and you’ll miss out on hundreds or thousands of free visitors from long tail search results. In the video I show you that the 37,700 people who visited my site from search engines used 10,500 DIFFERENT search phrases!

That blows my mind. How can there possibly be over 10,000 phrases in my UK-specific technology niche? Not just that, but my 5-month-old site RANKS well enough for those 10,000 phrases to have received at least one click for each phrase!

So, whether you write articles for your websites, or posts for your blogs, be sure to use as many theme keywords as you can in a natural style. You’ll reap the rewards in ranking for many, many different keyword phrases.

What do you think

Have you tried to get traffic for one keyword at a time and seen poor results? Will you now try to write broadly and generate traffic from hundreds or thousands of keywords instead?

Video Summary

I’ve got a question for you. Are you capturing names and email addresses at your websites?

If not, why not?

For some reason, people seem to think that email doesn’t work as a traffic generating method. They put up niche websites and are happy to have their visitors click on Adsense or affiliate links without trying to capture their opt-in details! Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Every website should try to get opt-ins to an email list, even if it sells toilet brush holders!

When you have an email list to mail to, you can generate traffic YOURSELF, without relying on Google search engine positions, or whether someone “faves” your Squidoo page.

In the video I show you people opting in to my mailing list and visiting the website as a result of my mailouts. Over time, the number of people on the list is growing and so is the percentage of traffic coming to the site as a result of mailouts… which means I control more of the website traffic.

It’s not just about control though… the people who opt-in are more motivated to hear what you have to say, and the ones who return to your site are even MORE motivated… that’s a strong indication that they’ll be likely to act on any future recommendations and generate income for the site via sales and offers.

So, if you have sites without signups, start an email list, today!

NOTE: At the moment, people on my niche list just get announcements of new blog posts with a link to the blog post, automatically, so it’s “hands-free” traffic!

What do you think

Do you use opt-ins to drive repeat traffic at niche sites? If not, has the video convinced you to start?

Video Summary

In this video I tackle the myth that “you need tons of content to get tons of traffic”. It’s not true. Yes, authority sites with tons of content do get tons of traffic, but it’s not necessary to copy them to get massive traffic.

In just the first four month of its existence, my site on a technology sub-niche for a UK audience got 34,508 visits from just 80 blog posts. That’s less than one per day… with an average of 431 visits per blog post so far!

So, you don’t need tons of content to get tons of traffic!

What do you think

Were you expecting hundreds of blog posts for thousands of visitors? Did the actual number surprise you?

Video Summary:

This is a pervasive myth. People seem to think that “Google won’t send a new website free traffic for several weeks or months”. It’s simply not true.

Firstly, Google will send your new site traffic despite what other people say and, secondly, there’s a lot of free traffic available outside Google.

In this video I show you my Analytics stats of 12,650 visits to a brand new site within the first 10-weeks.

Even more noteworthy is that the site targets a UK audience in a technology sub-niche… there are thousands of sub-niches available to target in many different geo-regions around the world.

What do you think?

Were you surprised that a site aimed at a UK audience in a technology sub-niche could attract 12,650 visits in the first 10 weeks?
